REMEI - BPB starts Action for Compensating the CO2 Emission

On Monday, November 28, 2011, the starting signal was given for a further step of the "Sustainability Initiative" of the company group REMEI - BPB.

In several phases the CO2 footprint of the company group shall be improved by planting  bushes,  perennials, and trees. In the first phase 50 bushes and perennials have been planted on the area of the children day-care centre "Zauberblume" in Blomberg.

This action is contemporaneously a contribution to the extensive reconstruction of the kindergarten in which REMEI - BPB has already engaged with other activities.
We were successful in acquiring the landscape gardener Daniel Stoffelen as a professional partner for this action.

Denise Beermann representing BPB and Nicole Eikermann representing REMEI assisted the General Manager Matthias Goldschmidt with planting the first bushes during the ground-breaking ceremony.
Further action shall follow in the course of this long-term project.  In spring 2012 we intend to plant  several trees.

The commitment of our group of companies to nature and environment already appears in other projects, too.

Besides energetic renovations we intend to start running our own wind-powered generator at the end of this year.
This step shall enlarge our contribution to a clean environment.
